Cindy Marika found Lucy at the Broward County Humane Society and fell in love with her because she is so cute %u2013 She loves the big black spot around Lucy%u2019s eye. She even tried doing a DNA test twice to find out what type of dog Lucy is, and got completely different results both times. Chihuahua, Bull Mastiff, Poodle, Dachshund, and Beagle are a few of the breeds that the test came back with. Lucy is Cindy%u2019s first dog, and now is approximately four and a half years old. The day Cindy brought her home, Lucy walked into the kitchen and like a cat she easily jumped from the floor directly onto the countertop to get a toy. Training Lucy not to bark as much as she does is the toughest obstacle to overcome. Cindy has taught Lucy some fun tricks, such as spinning around and going over jumps. Practicing with American Idogs is their favorite shared activity because it is fun for both Lucy and Cindy. When Cindy puts on her shoes and takes out her bag, Lucy knows that it is time to go to practice; she gets super excited, runs to the door, and waits patiently for Cindy to get ready and go.
